How to Host a Pumpkin Painting Picnic

It’s officially Spooky Season !!!

IT IS TIME FOR PUMPKIN EVERYTHING :)

After creating my fall bucket list it’s time to blow off the dust and kick it off right. This will be my first time hosting a Pumpkin painting party so hopefully this is a big hit. This is something fun that you can do with your family, a fall birthday party, or even a group of friends.

Please remember
THERE IS NO WAY TO PAINT A PUMPKIN, BUT HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO MAKE IT A LITTLE EASIER.

SUPPLIES
WHITE PUMPKINS - ANY SIZE WILL WORK, MAKE SURE THEY ARE FLAT ON THE BOTTOM AND DON'T FALL OVER :)

ORANGE PUMPKINS
ACRYLIC PAINT (APPLE BARREL) ANY INEXPENSIVE ACRYLIC PAINT WILL WORK. CHALK PAINT ALSO WORKS WELL FOR A MATTE FINISH.
BLANKET - MAYBE INVESTING IN AN OUTDOOR BLANKET BUT THIS ONE WILL DO BECAUSE THE OTHERS ARE NOT IN HALLOWEEN-THEMED.
FOAM BRUSHES
PAINT BRUSHES, A FEW DIFFERENT SIZES
WATER CUPS
PAINT PLATES

RETRO SPEAKER - FOR THE VIBES

Bring the 🍷 BOoze for your favorite BoOs 👻 ✨

STEP 1
You are going to put down your blankets.

STEP 2

It’s now time to set up a paint station. Where everyone can pick out their paints. If you have a large group, you might need to get several small bottles of paint and them around so there is easy access.

YOU GET A WATER CUP! YOU GET A WATER CUP! EVERYONE GETS A WATER CUP TO RINSE BRUSHES AND A PAINT PLATE.

.

Side note: IF YOU ARE PAINTING OUTSIDE, you might want to use mason jars for water or have a heavier plate. If it is windy, everything may blow away.

Everyone is a Creative Genius!

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS!
-THE FOAM BRUSHES ARE BEST FOR PAINTING LARGE AREAS.
-STENCILS WORK GREAT FOR PUMPKINS
-LET THE PAINT DRY BETWEEN COATS, IT MAKES IT MUCH EASIER TO PAINT OVER A BACKGROUND COLOR.

HAVE FUN WITH IT!! YOU COULD ALSO OFFER FALL-THEMED SNACKS OR GAMES, IT IS YOUR PARTY!!
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, LET ME KNOW! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR PUMPKIN PICTURES!!

so paint the colors of the wind.

side note: my mom would always tell me to paint the colors of the wind as a child. One of my many nicknames as a child was Pocahontas
