How To Make A Vision Board That Works

If you’re not using the power of a vision board to help you manifest your dream life, then you’re missing out on one of the most powerful manifestation tools. You can’t look at your dream board and not experience the feelings of joy, gratitude, and love for all the things that you desire. And that’s such a powerful message you send to your subconscious mind.

What to Do Before Making a Vision Board

If you’re not prepared, and you don’t build a solid foundation for your vision board, you may end up in the wrong direction. So take the time to prepare properly, and you’ll be off on the right foot.

If you’re interested in creating a vision board for yourself, here are five things you should do before you start pinning your favorite Pinterest images together, or cut out pictures from magazines.

Find Your Perfect Life For Your Vision Board

If you could do absolutely anything you wanted with your life, regardless of money, location, and resources, what would it be? Imagine the best-case scenario for your life. If you could, what are all the things you would have surrounding you daily? Don’t limit yourself by only including things you believe are possible. Allow yourself to completely abandon any doubts you have and indulge in your feelings of hope and excitement.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself during your limit free brainstorming session:

  • What is your dream career?

  • What does your dream house look like?

  • What characteristics does your ideal partner have?

  • What kinds of vacations do you want to take?

  • What part of the world do you want to live in?

  • What kinds of friends do you want around you?

  • What hobbies are in your life?

Remember, you are planning out the life that is perfect for you. Forget about what you might think others want from you. Forget about your preconceived notions about what is possible for you. If you were dreaming up the perfect life for someone else, you wouldn’t put any limits on them, so don’t set any limits on yourself.

Find Your Why Behind Your What

If you know you why, your path will be straight, knowing “the why,” gets to the core of your being and your values, and it allows you to line up your vision with what is most important to you. Most of us would enjoy living in a mansion in the mountainous neighborhood. But maybe you’d rather have a series of smaller homes in various places, so you can experience more of what life has to offer in different facets. Or you are like me and just want a nice little apartment near the city so you can explore whenever you want. The key is to imagine your dream life, and then ask yourself, “why do I want this?” Asking yourself why may solidify what you want, or it may end up showing you that it isn’t something you want in the grand scheme after all. Avoid unexpected issues by starting from your heart instead of your ego. Your heart will lead you to what is indeed close to home instead of a dream you may have picked up residually through media or your relationships.
